Use Cases

The A4n device (also known as the A4n asset tag) is usually mounted on objects (physical assets) to provide real-time tracking. The tag is widely used in the medical equipment tracking environment. The A4n tag uses the Wi-Fi and or BLE infrastructure to provide accurate tracking.

Physical Description

  • Tag Dimensions: 1.8 x 2.2 x 0.7 in / 45 x 55 x 19 mm
  • Weight: 1.7 oz / 48 g
  • Operating Temperature: 32 to 122 °F / 0 to 50 °C
  • Storage Temperature: -40 to 140 °F / -40 to 60 °C
  • Humidity: 95 % non-condensing, relative humidity
  • Protection: Water-proof in a double cavity sealed enclosure with four screws to open battery compartment for replacing the battery.
  • Tag Presentation: the tag can be placed in a special clip that can be mounted on objects.

  • Tag Cleaning: Clean and sterilize with CaviCide solution or wipes. (Long term use of Virex TB can damage the tag enclosure and is not recommended.)
