G3

Use Cases

The G3 gateway, a low cost, small factor device, transports BLE data from BLE-only tags and sensors to a Wi-Fi infrastructure, extending BLE solutions to areas that lack Wi-Fi coverage or where no BLE-to-Wi-Fi infrastructure exists. The G3 gateway:

  • Supports most popular BLE and Wi-Fi protocols.
  • Has an on/off switch to activate, deactivate, and reset the device.
  • May be configured and programmed over the air.
  • May be secured onto the faceplate of an electrical outlet to prevent theft.

G3 devices are often used in chokepoint detection (entry and exit) areas. G3s are also deployed for proximity detection in asset tracking and social distancing applications. Lastly, the G3 gateway has a built-in temperature and humidity sensor for environmentally sensitive use cases. (An Outlet/Plug adapter kit is available for most European countries.)
